How to Stay Motivated to Lose Weight


You need to stay motivated in order to lose weight. Because no matter how good a diet is, you can’t lose weight if you don’t fallow it.

I tried many ways to stay motivated and I came to the conclusion that this method is by far the best. And believe me, I really tried many ways.

When starting to lose weight there is one true “no matter what diet you follow, you will lose weight if you can stay focus and committed to that diet”.


You can lose weight if:

  • you start exercising,
  • you eat more vegetables
  • you go on a diet
  • or just if you eat less.

And I know that anyone of this solution works because there are so many people that have lost weight exercising more, eating less or eating healthy. But if you do the same you can’t follow true.

Because there is something that you are missing from your plan. And that ingredient is willpower. Think about it, you know what you have to do in order to lose weight. There are so many solutions, so many diets, so many exercises that burn fat. But you can’t do it, you can’t stay committed to that process.

Do you know why? Because you are human! And you are focusing only on the process, on what you have to do, but you forget about the most important thing: your willpower. If you have willpower and you are motivated you can fallow true with any plan. No matter how complicated and hard can be.

Use a journal to track your progress. This is not a secret is something that you already know, but it works very well. From my own experience, this is the best way to keep yourself motivated and focus.

And it doesn’t work only for me. Everybody on the internet is telling “keep a food journal”. There are even books about how to track your progress using a journal. Wow… Can you imagine that?  A 400-page book about how to write in a journal.



I know, right now you have a mental barrier, and because of that, I propose to keep a food journal for 30 days. If you don’t like it you can stop doing it.

The advantage is that this is something easy. And if it doesn’t work you don’t have anything to lose but if it works you will change your body.

Here is how a food journal helps you be aware and accountable. When you crave that piece of cake you are less likely to eat it because you know you have to write it down later and face your inner critic.

Here are other benefits that you can gain from having a food journal:
